I don't speak of it lightly - have already been treated three times for depression and on one of those occasions was hospitalised and then treated as a potential suicide - fine now as I know my mental triggers and can take appropriate action. I also counsel others who get that way to help them recover as I have been able to do.
I am pleased to hear that many of you are coming out and saying that you wouldn't cheer - that doesn't change my opinion that some people would do so.
Yes people are affected - but they are also affected by comments made about them - no one seems to care that people think nothing of saying vile things about Sarah and other royals and assume that Sarah, Mary, Kate and their loved ones wouldn't be affected by those comments. This is a public forum so it is perfectly possible that members of the royal families do read this - I suspect that there are even people in the palaces with the job of reading these boards to ascertain public opinion.
You seem to be a caring person, Luvcharles

I'm glad that you are feeling in a healthier place and that you are able to read your mental triggers well; good on you for counseling others when they are in a low place.
I, too, do worry that some comments here, if read by the people who are the topic of those, often vile, comments might make a person feeling low, hit rock bottom. Hopefully those people know that Dishers on this board are a very small minority of the people in society and that their view is healthy to know about, particularly as a reality check if one starts to believe that Billed Bladet is gospel.
But if my sister or mother were to be examined on this forum (if they were Royal or public figures) I would advise them to give this site a miss.
As Dishers we can only be responsible for what we, ourselves, dish.
I, personally, try to not dish something that might 'destroy a person's self confidence' should they read it.
