Thanks Idun for the translation. Just watching this video makes me wonder if Mary is like this in other situations as well: nothing substantial to add, doesn't ask a lot of questions to get more information, only says "yes" in conversations. She seems like she just listens but doesn't really interact with others. The one time she did say something a bit longer (when they were watching the 2 boys play soccer) her voice was hushed, as if she's not comfortable speaking in Danish or asking a question. She's almost 40 and has been in public for 6 years yet she still seems so awkward. Welcome wondergirl! I have to say that Mares just agreeing all the time sounds like me and my french. I've been learning for a while and can understand quite well, and can read very well - but my spoken french is very poor. It's not internalised and i have to prepare for everything that comes out of my mouth. If the interveiw transcribed reflects the way mares speaks all the time (and i don't think it does - i've seen her answer questions from reporters etc better than this) then I would infer her dansk is very poor. chick

I've watched these two vids and i think mary was acting appropriately. If you're being followed walking down the street and people are standing in traffic to film you through a car window - then i think a little interview to satisfy the press, and a little wave out the window are appropriate...just give the press acknowledgement and a quick hello before going about your business. It's like the videos we've discussed before where mares is the only one of the group who waves to the crowd. We could here on one video in particular that the only name the crowd and the press was calling was "mary! Mary! mary!". so she does her wave and off she goes...i don't think she was deliberately fame whoring in adelaide.... chick

You can move the slider to get to 21:51, don't need to watch the whole thing!

There is a slider right under the video screen and you can move it to the right and fast forward the video, although at 21:51 there is no Prof. Donaldson, but the Hamish guy who is Izzy's godfather.

It really is a comedy. In that bit just before Papa is shown (umm, in a compromising position), the camera catches Marge, looking every which way but straight ahead. She was probably worried she might lose her lunch if she looked in Papa's direction. I wonder if after ahem, such a tasteful display :yikes:by Fred's future Papa-in-law, she was trying to come up with a way she could halt proceedings. Maybe it would have helped if someone had screamed "fire", or "bomb". Maybe soemone should have just shouted "bogan" louder prior to this oh so joyous day.

How come Mary has British accent?
I don't know...I don't think it's British accent. It's more like Scandinavian accent to me. No it's not! Don't pin that on us!

A golden bogan moment at the 21:51 mark (yeah, you're ass is going to have to sit and watch 21 minutes of that faithful oh so loving wedding day.) Spread 'em Papa Slurp's! http://www.nrk.no/nett-tv/klipp/38586/ I knew there had to be a video of it Ruffo, I've never seen that but it was a show where all the children were twins? I can't translate it now (no sound), but perhaps they said something about what was so funny
