Ok I am presuming some of you at least have commented on Marys thread on the Fashion Spot (I can spot the RD vibe quite well now Tongue). Alas the last few page have been really taken up with some serious brown nosers and I am considering the serious possibility that some of the TFS posters may be on yer ones payroll. I have done my best to balance the tone over there but we need more RD weight!! Just read what this minion wrote :

"Well first of all, "sailing" and "too many holiday's" and everything else about their private life does not belong in this thread in the first place.  This is a fashion thread, if you have an opinion on how they spend their personal time and money then make another thread for it, don't post it here.

And when someone says almost nothing positive about another person whether it be their facial features, body, hair or makeup, it gets a little annoying. Plus there is a rule about continuously bashing the person in their own thread and it's not allowed. It's understood that this is a forum and we are all allowed to have our opinions but being negative 95-100% of the time makes some people here look like "haters." Veronika just had the guts to call it like it is.

And if her style is too trendy or to your disliking then why do you come back to the thread? Mary doesn't have to please anyone but herself with her fashion choices and maybe we should start accepting that fact. You have a right to your opinion but if it's negative all the time then you should expect to have some feedback from the other posters on here.

We have to stop people like this out at least educate them.  Yes

TFS is a forum with their own rules just as this one has. I don't find anything wrong with the post of the "minion" (as you put it).

This is very true. It's a community rule:

Rule Number 5
5.This is a Fashion discussion forum; please remember to stay on topic in the threads dedicated to fashion and style.

There are plenty of examples of this across the forum. You can't talk about Gisele Bundchen's pregnancy in her fashion thread. There's a separate thread for it. You can't talk about Kate Middleton's relationship with William in her fashion thread. There's a separate thread for it. So if you want to talk about Mary's work (or lack thereof), then you do need to make a new thread for it because her fashion thread is not the place for it.

Again, true.

Rule Number 9
9.Continual negative comments about models or celebrities will be regarded as trying to start a flame war and as such is grounds for a warning.

So what's the problem? Her thread is too positive? Most of the fashion threads do, inevitably, become fan threads, and if you want to post a "less than positive" opinion, then expect for it to be countered. I don't see the point of recruiting people to go over there and counter the "brown nosers." RD is the place where you can "bash and dish" in peace here. You can't there.

What are you a Mod over there Goldie? Huh? Im guessing you are.

Just wanted to add some critical weight over there... seemed to me that some posters thought if she wore a binliner she would still be fab (although it would probably be a £2000 Prada binliner).

Why not counter the brown nosers over there? Maybe like you they'll come over here.  Wink
