Oh so they are not human beings just because they're royals? They still put their pants on one leg at a time, don't they! YOu can be guarded and regal and dignified but still be a warm human being IMO. Other royals are able to do so - William for one! If someone comes over and introduce yourself, at least say, "Hi, nice to meet you" and not just moan and giggle. Surely being ROYAL has taught you the most basic social manners! I'm not impressed.

He was holding onto her no doubt because she can't seem to put once foot in front of the other without falling down, and with those high heels, anything is possible...

MM doesn't strike me as someone who was raised with any sort of emphasis whatsoever on social graces and manners. She continuously strikes me as awkward and unprepared for life as Crown Princess. This behaviour, although it should be totally and 100% appalling from a Crown Princess, does not surprise me in the least bit coming from MM. To me, she does not seem terribly polite or well-mannered when it comes to interacting with anyone except her husband and children. IMO, she seems like someone who puts on a half-hearted show for the cameras in public and then gets the heck out of dodge as soon as humanly possible. These attempts like facebook are PR-driven and can be 100% controlled. I doubt it's MM's own personal touch to that.

My personal interaction with her shows that she doesn't have any natural warmth or social skills.

I remember some event that happen several years ago. MM had a female personal assistant back then. She was screaming at this assistant in public. Some Mette's fans told it was unprofessional for MM to behave that way. I think it is much worse than just unprofessional. It showed her attitude towards people who work for her, who are lower than her on social ladder. Mette, a girl with politely speaking wild past, who hit the rock bottom, learned very quickly that she is above other people.

Your example reaffirms my friend's experience with Mette in London. When my friend said a polite "hello", Mette just glared at her with a look that says, "Who are YOU to talk to me?" Mette's attitude is even more obnoxious by the fact taht of all the CPs- she has the LEAST to be uppity about! She would still be waiting on tables if it wasn't by chance that she met Haakon.
