Oh, Mary would never miss that event, she is going. A few months ago I was a little sad that the RD would be so quiet over the summer, I just assumed Mary would be on vacation the whole time. I was so wrong, the last 3 weeks have been just like old times. New stuff to read everyday when I come home from work. Next up the Greek wedding which should be fun, especially if the kids get to come. Looks like when Mary flies in Fred flies off to Singapore, they hardly see each other for two weeks.

Yes! I think this is exactly the strategy behind the "Remember the Good Old Days" airing of Queen Ingrid's memory at a concert the whole family will attend, when it's not even the date of either Ingrid's birth or death, more like 10 years exactly since Our Fred met... her. Once the Danish public is sufficiently googly-eyed and misty for dignified royal representation, there will be less damage to the DRF when Fred finally swaps Rooty Hill Ruby for La Belle Katja!  |

She's really very delightful. Invited us to pop up for a spot of tea not long ago. She's been learning a lot from Marie Antoinette and palling around with some of the Mitford Sisters (not that one!) for fun. Full report coming soon!  |
