I know there was some recent speculation that maybe there was trouble in WA and Max's marriage (I think I remember reading that...) but I have noticed that she's taken on more and more seperate engagements.  You always used to see BOTH of them at each function, and on occasion, they'd do a single function.  It seemed WA did more solos than Max did, but now, we've hardly seen photos of them together at an event anymore.  I'm assuming there is a good reason; maybe she'd expressed an interest in going on more events alone to raise her profile, but I wondered if anyone had heard any reason for this change.  This was going on even before he fell while skating so it's not that reason I think.

Where did you read these reports of trouble in the marriage? In any case, she looks happy and thinner!

Love this outfit!  The hair still sucks though.

I wouldn't be surprised if there were problems in this marriage.  They seem so different.

I thought they were so much alike they're practically brother and sister. During their trip to New York last year, they kept looking at each other and Maxima was always gazing adoringly at him even during interviews. Like a supportive and proud wife.

Max looks great here in the bright colours. And the hair isn't as bad as it could be, if it makes sense. On the whole, well done, Max! - Thank you for posting the pics!

I get the Chuck and Di vibe from this pair.  She appears to be a bubbly gadfly and he's such a drip.  However, maybe the money makes-up for the tediousness of being married to W-A

There were rumours written on this board about friction between the two, but I forget under which thread it was. While I don't doubt they have their occasional friction (who doesn't?), I don't think it's anything serious. TO me they seem well-matched.

To me it seems they are both very strong willed, each in their own way, so when they do fight it must be spectacular

Oh, I think Max looks fabulous!!  She does look thinner, but not too thin.  Let's hope she doesn't take it to extremes.

Also, she is wearing a flattering sheath dress and cardigan that fits her and matches her outfit.  I love cardies when they match and fit! (For the record, I still loathe Mary's flesh-coloured cardigan she insists on wearing regardless of whether it matches or is appropriate).  The fushia and orange really flatter Maxima's skin tone and make her stand out.  Her whole outfit (well, I haven't seen the shoes) is bang-on fabulous.  Star for her!

But my only qualm is that perhaps this would have been a tad more appropriate in the spring?  But otherwise, I am in  love!

Here is a video from thge trip to NYC. They are nice to each other.  Interesting moment from 1:03 to 1:06, Maxima fixing her nail polish. LOL!

They both are temperamental, I won't be surprised they fight more than a regular couple. But they seem to be the type of the couples that they scream for a divorce, but 5 minutes later, they already forget about their fight, are in love with each other as ever  .
