I wonder what's wrong with her?  She's probably secretly thrilled by this...she won't have to babysit the Bogan like she did during the Rights of the Child event.

I don't think Mary cares if MM is there or not. Will the Obamas go to the Winter Olympics ? If they do, F&M will likely 'stalk' the Obamas at a high profile game as they did with George Jr at the US-China basketball game in Beijing  Wink.

Obama (don't know about Michelle) is not going so no photo opportunity there

When will Mary arrive in Vancouver?

I'd call in sick, too, to avoid having to smile through Mary's embarrassments.

Winter olympics brings out the worst in me, anything less than 8 golds for Norway is a disaster of national proportion and if we loose to sweden in the mens 4*10 cross country event it will be a national mourning day.

Here are the events the danish athletes will attend (and where we can expect to see Mr IOC member and the Mrs), anythng resembeling a medal (only realistic in curling) is a success, other than that i expect alot of places from 50 and down Spiteful Spiteful

Mary who?

Hey, that's not fair! It is acurate though Tongue

I think we might have a slim chance of winning a medal in curling but that's about it. The winter games are mostly fun because we get to see Norway and Sweden duke it out

If Norway manage another Turin result (only two golds and 19 medals) I will go into hibernation. Now that was a crappy olympic, and we ended behind Sweden which has not happened as long as i can remember.

I guess Denmark will get its revenge when we will fail again in getting to the soccer EC Whistle

Gosh yes, the papers have already started about the EC - the winter olympics really isn't something people care that much about..

I might bring the elephant back. This one fits perfectly at the moment - I do not recall such a long winther with constant frost and snow. We've had it for over a month and a half! It's crazy! I'm pretty peeved if global warming will mean colder and longer winters here Nerves

the main news in Dagbladet today is that Norways IOC member Gerhard Heiberg some years ago went to the King and aksed if he should nominate Haakon or Märtha Louise for the IOC, but the King said no. The King and Heiberg agreed that it was not suitable in realtion to much of the corruption in the IOC. Heiberg says that he today thinks it was the right decision and points to the controversy around Prince Frederik.

Well, Canada is a country with a "monarchy" so I am wondering if the national news will cover Fred and Mary when they arrive in Vancouver? I will have to watch for that. Are they arriving today?
