I am reading these Scandinavian newspapers from last week saying that Westling was admitted to hospital last week. ANybody know any further than what the papers are writing? Also read about it on the Scandinavian royals message board.

This is bad news - what if he doesn't make it to the wedding? I feel bad for Victoria as she seems so in love with him. Madelaine will be pissed as well since she can't get married until Victoria does!

Whether the rumor is true or not, from now on, Vicky better get used to this type of rumors. If she is not getting pregnant soon after the wedding or the child is not 100% healthy, media will blame Daniel's week sperms too.

I am starting to get a bit worried about them. They are really a rather tragic couple aren't they? For dynastic reason they should never get married: even if Danny is fertile as a rabbit in heat he might very easily pass on his kidney problems to the heirs. Plus what kind of royal spouse is he going to make with one leg in the hospital ward? The press is going to crucify them: "Daniel in hospital - where is his caring wife?" (Of course on duty for S but the cause of the absence would spoil the headline) Of course I could also imagine the tearjerking header: "Victoria's darkest hours: while Daniel is in hospital she has to show a brave face to the statevisitors.." Also possible the fed up option: "Is Daniel ever going to support his wife?" As to Madde not being allowed to marry before Vickan?  Don't think so, and seriously I could imagine that the court is quite relieved to have a nice and hopefully successful couple at hand: who knows if Daniel ever makes it work and Calle Flip? Well, I do get this gay vibe from him, no matter how many porn stars he likes to date. |

Well, I do get this gay vibe from him, no matter how many porn stars he likes to date. actually i do think so. i even suspect that vicky was allowed to get engaged to daniel because madde was fed up of waiting to tie the knot and was not allowed to do so before big sis had tied the knot. i do wonder if vic and daniel will ever make it to the altar. |

Hardly... And most ppl with kidney transplantants arenīt ill all the time...at least not more than Mette Marit  Daniel has two big problems though...what if the life time of the kidney would be over...and a press team, which is incompetent... This is bad news - what if he doesn't make it to the wedding What is bad news...that they have an idiotic press team? |

Madelaine is definitely not allowed to get married (or engaged for that matter) before big sis. Why do you think they held off announcing their engagement to the press for so long - Jonas had proposed and Madde accepted way before the official announcement so they already were engaged for quite awhile! Then when Victoria announced hers, then Madde can as well. Same thing with the wedding - Madde has to settle for a cold November wedding until Vicky marries in glorious sunshine in June.

Could the wedding be posponed iF Daniel is sick again -- like a week or a couple of days before the actual wedding ? You can't have a huge royal wedding if the groom is in the hospital...............this must be a nightmare for Victoria as well as everyone else
At the last moment could Sweden switch the bride & groom
What are the "possible" side effects from all the drugs Daniel must take

I have a good friend who just got a new kidney from a donor and she will have to take lots of medication everyday for the rest of her life. She feels better than she did before her transplant, but could have problems with the new kidney at any moment. Problems would lead to dialysis 3x per week or waiting for another transplant. Her father recently died from the disease. She doesn't look great right now, 6 months after her transplant, but I am hoping she will get stronger as time goes passes.
I think Daniel is still in the first year after his transplant and is still adjusting so things will probably be up and down for some time.

Clover I hope that your friend will soon be better Zinzen Thanks so much!  I try to meet her for coffee every few months or so to help her get back on her feet socially or if things do take a turn for the worse I would feel awful if I missed an opportunty to be there for her. I really just wanted to say that Daniel may get over whatever weaknesses he is experiencing right now and be okay and strong enough to father a bunch of babies with Victoria. I don't think they would have allowed them to schedule a wedding and invite all the royal houses if Daniel's doctor did not give his/her clearance to do so. |
