It is good for the children to spend some time away from Denmark. They have just lost their grandfather and skiing, having some fun in the snow, hanging around with their daddy and their half brother will make them feel better. It is a great opportunity for Joachim to be with his sons and help them too. Moreover,I think, the winter holidays will be good for alex. Boys will not be with her for a week or so, so she will have time to deal with her father's lost. Sometimes, when children are involved, you should act or pretend that you are strong, you should avoid crying or being sad in front of the children. This is very difficult and now Alex would have the chance to be alone with Martin and deal with Manley's death.
Of course, Marie and Joachim lost their chance to potrate the idyllic family with Nikolaj, Felix and little Henrik. Unfortunatly, Henrik was sick, so Marie had to stay with him. She preferd being with her child, rather than being phtographed as "the perfect stepmother"
. Joachim is happy, relaxed and cool with his boys. He doesn't pose desperatly with them and doesn't hold their hands or hug them every second. Marie's and Joachim's approach to children is totally different, than martin's. Martin neglets his own daughter
, but he plays perfect the "best stepfather" rolle. He enioys being photographed with the little princes and he doesn't leave them alone for a momment. I believe, Martin really loves Nikolaj and Felix, I don't blame him for that, noone should do that, however he is ALWAYS so eager to show his feelings, and that bothers me.
