I was about to write and ask something similar lynda. Some member think that it is very important that Marie gave her telephone number to a married Joachim. I want to ask: what Martin gave to a married Alex? Martin worked for the DRF and Alex, I'm sure they knew how to contact each other at least work wise, but I agree that some personal affairs did begin with working together. Whateve happened to Alex and Martin, it didn't make Marie look any better for give her telephone number to a married man. |

both Martin and Marie comes off bad IMO
but I also get the feeling that Martin and Alex had some sort of an intimate relationship that Jokke and Marie didn't. Jokke and Marie probably flirted but I don't get the feeling there was more to It back then.
not sure how physically close Alex and Martin were but I don't get the feeling It was just flirting

When a man makes a similar choice, we say he's not thinking with his head, he's thinking with another part of his anatomy. Wonder if there's a similar saying for women...because that's what I believe Alex was doing when she started messing around with Big Martin. Let's face it, she couldn't have been attracted to him for his mind. And conversation doesn't see to be his forte (I refer you to his recent interview). So what does that leave? A pretty face and a good roll in the hay. |

I somehow can't see the two of them sitting by the fireplace in 20 years, either. Alex may have used her marriage to Martin as an excuse to get rid of her royal obligations as a still princess of Denmark. Imagine being invited to all the dos and having to bump into Marie and Joachim all the time. I sometimes get the feeling, though, that Alex misses the attention and privileges of being a princess. Marie's growing popularity and new baby (she's said she'd love to have a child from Martin) must have been like a slap in the face for her. As soon as Marie's pregnancy was announced, she couldn't wait to give her pathetic interview on how she'd made a real effort to learn Danish because she owed it to the Danes and blah blah blah...

I so totally agree Prinzessa...I think Alex misses the limelight and privileges A LOT and especially with all the good attention that Marie is garnering. I also think that other than the physical aspect with Martin, she's probably bored out of her mind with him on the intellectual level.

I don't know what happened to Alex maybe she couldn't find a better guy (or the other way around) maybe she is trying to prove some point..
all in all she looks pathetic and I'm not so sure that her sons would like Martin when they'll older
