The house the Joachim paid for has increased in value and is now worth 12.3 million (8 bedrooms------yet she never invited her parents to move from Joachim's estate in with her when they got divorced...... I believe both loans are adjustable rate mortgages with her Svanemollevej home as collateral

I don't understand why that's something that's held against her First of all we don't know if her parents even wanted to live with her. Second of all why should Alex be the only daughter who supported her parents? Third, I personally don't know anyone who lives voluntarily with their parents. Maybe it's a cultural thing but I don't see ANYTHING wrong with her not living with her parents at all.

maybe her parents didn't want to live with her either? I assume they had much more space in Jokke's house
maybe they didn't like the new husband who knows..

I agree about Alex's parents not living with her. Most adults like their independence, even when they reach old age.
I have to say I was very disappointed when I first learned of Alex's relationship with Martin, and as time has passed I have not changed my opinion. If anything, the more I learn the more I dislike him. I will always remember Alex's time as a princess of Denmark because she did such a good job, but if I were her, I would stay out of the limelight, I would politely decline interview requests and live a quiet life far removed from what I walked away from. To me that is the right thing to do, especially when you've decided to marry a man 16 years younger, who abandoned his own child and who has no visible means of supporting himself.
On the issue of the apanage, in my opinion it should be given to Nikolai and Felix, with Alex as the overseer.

Geta, I believe she took the first loan to finance the apartment she bought in Turkey. The second one...well, who knows. Since toy-boy doesn't earn much money himself and they wish to mingle with the jetset, they apparently need more money than Jokke and the Danish state provide.

I had never imagined Alex would like a useless toy boy.I was rooting for Alex to marry a billionaire to give Jokke and DRF a hard kick. Now Jokke is the one who is laughing with a younger wife and a new adorable son.

I also don't understand how her parents could agree to live on the estate of their ex son-in-law. To be fair, I think Mr Manley's health may have had a hand in this. Maybe the house that Alex lives in was not appropriate for her father's needs - stairs and things. They may all have had their good reasons. The thing that stands out is Joachim's generosity and fairness - just because you are divorcing your wife doesn't mean you can't still be respectful to your in-laws.

I can't stand him. Direct quotes from Martin "my pants like to strangle my ass and balls and the top buttons on my two-sizes too small shirts routinely fall off all on their own" Jørgensen:
I don't know if you truely deserve a star for having me spit out my coffee and almost choke to death. Direct quotes from Martin... Geez for a moment I dreamed he had truely said that... thanks for the laugh...

Alex really should have "dated" this guy for years and years, until whatever it is that brought them together runs its course.

perhaps to pay the bill at Rigmor's Neveer heard of Martin (or Alex) into drugs..........................but Martin into Porno yes many times I havee heard that....doesn't he have a side business in Thiland that is into heavy porno-------------good role model for Joachim's two sons-----------and Daisy has never said anything == just hired him to do another film on the royal family...........nothing like keep your eyes closed, which she has done since the Icon bullied her way in the firm

She may be bullying her way out of it again as we speak... I'm torn between being happy if she's thrown out of the family and feeling sorry for the kids.

How can she be thrown out of the family She'll stay in the position she's in and I think it's a good thing. Martin being a douche doesn't have anything to do with what sort of princess she was and how she works for the organizations she supports now IMO. It's obvious that she and Joachim have a good relationship with and around the children who are well-behaved - and Henrik and Margrethe don't seem too bitter with her either.
