Get over yoursweetselves already! ME has landed in a jackpot. The Danes are openly smoking hash wherever they please and nobody cares. Coke for those who can afford it.....dont tell me you guys are JEALOUS cuz she gets free coke and you cant even score?!?! Danish ladies are very free with their sexual favors and are not hung up in the least of porn on TV, or hookers at the mall or wherever else they wanna be. Hooking is a danish national past time! Actually most danes do it for free! So whats the problem girls? Shes just the biggest whore in Denmark and soon she will be Queen of Whores. Chapter one of Druggies, Whores and other Danish Deadbeats! Royal model citizen my ass! The royals are scum of the earth!

Based on living there for seven years! Sure it is a gross generalization, but in the larger scheme of things, denmark is not uptight about sexual relations whatsoever! Whereas, in the Middle East, where i now live, you can get arrested for having sex with someone you are not married to! USA can still be very puritanical--look what they did to Sarah Palin s daughter. Im sure the republican party would have preferred not to have such a situation of an unwed mother in their midst and maybe White House! Denmark is one of the countries where you can do pretty much whatever you want and people dont get bent out of shape.....this is my point about ME and the coke.....Danes will just blow it off!!!

I'm glad to hear you admitting that it's a gross generalization. Hooking is not a past time for me or anyone I know. I actually doubt that Denmark has more hookers per capita than most other countries.

Oh my and here I was thinking Denmark had kept it's head down, so to speak, because of their reputation gained from WW 2. Until time passed and about the time they sent the CP out to find a wife to bring them some good news reports, they figured enough time had elapsed for people to forget or the older generation might be thinking "forgive and forget let it rest" So let's give Mary a run and draw the worlds attention to Denmark, a new Princess the world will love her, she'll bring Denmark into this centaury with a new look and more resepct than we have had to date. Sorry folks it didn't work the poor DRF chose the wrong gal for the job.
They might as well have chosen a wife from any street corner anywhere in the world and got a better result.
Mary has pissed off so many people and they are now all over the internet looking to bag her as well as her new country, it will be another gerenation or two before Denmark will at last live down their reputatuion. Then again maybe not if Christian follows in his daddy's footsteps and marries a low class moron.

Might be just me having a danish slow moment: but what on earth are you all talking about? That Scandinavia (and that includes Sweden and Norway) is less prudish and prissy than the US and maybe the rest does not mean that they are per se promiscuous or hooking in their past time. (the stupid and ready to hump swedish au pair girl is really only a joke!!!) And would please someone inform me about the shameful danish WWII past, that had them hung their heads in shame until Mary came?
Did I fall asleep and wake up in another forum?

That's exactly what I have been trying to say, fairy. About WW2, could they be referring to the fraternizing with German soldiers? But it doesn't make the whole nation a bunch of hookers!!!

Well said, Cece! I wish we didn't quote them directly. They definitely read this board, probably every day, and with us not being a Protected Forum like they are, I'm sure they think we exist simply because they do. Well I don't care two straws about them, I have rarely seen stupider people. See? Right now as I write there are 38 guests reading Royal Dish... Edited to add: And may I say that imo, Mary will ride the wave of criticism and rise again to look down her lumpy nose at the rest of the world. I think, wishful thinking aside, that we should be careful not to overestimate the seriousness of this episode in terms of how damaging to her popularity and reputation it will turn out to be. It's a start, and I hope it means that from now on the Danish press will consider her fair game, and dutifully point out all her shortcomings. But you know, we are not talking toe-sucking sessions by the pool (with pictures to prove it!) or candid phone conversations recorded for our enjoyment. I am more impressed by the sheer arrogance of her response to the criticism, and that, I feel, is what may ultimately do her in. Her disdainful attitude can destroy all the goodwill she has received through her marriage faster than you can say Starmakers!

Out of curiousity, which sugarboard? I think I only know of one forum (save RD) where royalty is discussed... I'm just curious if that's it...

Harley, there is one that people here sometimes call the Church of Mary. That one is only about Mary, all Mary, all the time. There is another one, a large board where royalty from all over the world is discussed. Criticizing Mary is forbidden in both boards.
I myself visit the Glittering Royal Events Message Board (but I'm not a member), Robert's Royalty Boards (one for each European region) where I rarely post, and Nobiliana, for genealogy and Gotha-related information mainly. I consider Royal Dish my home for discussions about royalty.

Hi,
I've been lurking for a while and have decided to join the dishing. Can one of our Danish posters please explain something to me as I think I'm getting things a little confused:
Rigmor Zoebel is facing charges for drug DEALING (not using) and a senior member of the Danish royal family has been photographed dining and then (allegedly) partying with her into the wee hours and your serious newspapers are not reporting on this? Have I got that right?
Can someone explain why? Is drug dealing not a big issue in Denmark? Am i the only person that thinks this incident passes a message to people that not only is taking drugs ok but that pushing them is also perfectly acceptable?

Welcome, divinemiss!
I think you might be right. Am I right to assume that the rags and mags in the UK has not printed anything either? Interesting to see that Mary still has not scratched out a global niche for herself.
It hasn't been news-worthy in the US. I'm not surprised. She is not an American nor was she in her past life before jumping head first down into her destiny.

it's not newsworthy for a serious newspaper. rigmor's connection to the royals -the DRF in general and not mary in particular- may become a line or two in an article should she be charged or convicted.

Unfortunately that message (substance abuse and substance trafficking is tolerated in certain circles) has already been broadcasted loud and clear. Cocaine seems on the same "criminal" level as nicotine. Hollywood celebs admit to their addiction with gusto on national daytime television. Seems if you can't pride yourself in at least one rehab, you are not considerable for mature and serious movie roles... Royalty is just tagging along. It just seems so accepted, so normal, that for the celebs, the royals and the it-crowd a drug related lawsuit is as routine as a ticket for false parking (mind you speeding is already considered more abominable as is dui, but sniff the white stuff and you are fine) HOwever, I find it very disturbing that the it-scene, the high society, the celebs and even the royals can't seem to be able to do without any enhancements: You see Fred and Mary mingle with people known for their drug addiction You see Wills and his girlfriend falling out of clubs in ther wee hours of the morning seriously drunk. Apparently they can't enjoy life without losing their conscience. The struggle not to need to struggle with everyday chores and work, the privileges seem to take a heavy toll and can only be born in a mind numbing drug cloud...
