He says he fell in love with her right away, and after knowing her only briefly, he already knew he was going to "make her his queen"?
And yet he waited over 3 years to propose?!

You mean Freddles is actually trying to convince his subjects that he instantly fell in love/ love at first sight with this:

Vapid.Vain.Worn.

Such a warm lady. Such a hot mess.

After all these years... soooo ln love!  Can't you just feel it?  Sooo intense.

Even if he really fell in love with that ugly skank at first sight, then I have even less respect for him.  Thumb down

The more that numbnuts tries to speak out of both sides of his mouth, the more i'm convinced he's on the bootleg crack as opposed to the good trainwreck crack.

Hell I buy Victoria and Daniel as being more in love than Denmark's answer to Wallis Simpson and her eternal boy king.

Truly the photo that explains so much. The future queen at her true self.... a sour faced clown sucking back god knows what. It just screams "LOOK AT WHAT YOUR FUTURE CHILDREN WILL LOOK LIKE."

Most logical men would run screaming for the nearest std test and vow never to mix drinks and drugs ever again.... not our Freddie.

Can anyone tell me if other European royal (esp. CP) couples are in the media on a semi-regular basis reminding us of how in love they are? Or do they rely on their daily actions/body language/interactions with their partner to tell us? I am not talking about comments they may make leading up to a wedding anniversary milestone/shortly after the birth of a child etc., it is natural to say such things at these times, but wht do these 2 feel the need to make comments/have an interview/hold a photoshoot several times a year?

I was just about to point this out. M&F regularly revisit and revise their "love story". It's ridiculous. All the other CP couples have moved on with their lives - well past their "love story". They are focused on raising their families and doing their jobs. I wish there were more details of the early romances of M&WA, M&P, and L&F, but there's scant information. Why? Because they said little about it in the first place and they don't keep talking about it. M&P's courtship was secret for a lot longer than L&F's and I know little about either.

M&F (or maybe just Mary?) talked too much (and not eloquently) about their romance. Too many inconsistencies came out causing people to examine the details. Then M&F have had to go back and revise their story so it fits the fairytale destiny they are trying to portray. It just shows how desperate they are to show they are the perfect couple when they both know their relationship is fractured - and in fact perhaps lost entirely.

Star for that, Pocahontas. Yes, their colleagues have all moved on. It screams of 'clutching at straws' on the part of M&F, doesn't it?

Also in the engagement interview the Icon said she had no idea who the group of people were that she had joined at the Slipp Inn.   She just plopped herself down with a group of foreign ladies & gentlemen-----makes you wonder where in hell their security teams were (Denmark,Spain.Sweden -- who else was present ??_)

You are right, lynda.

Her statement makes me think of two things:

Either, she lied in the engagement interview (which I truly believe she did), because as cosmopolitan as she pretends to be, she should have realized that there is something different about this group. Don't tell me that the heir(s) to the throne of a European kingdom ditched the security service to lolligag around in Sidney unprotected.

Or, she really came crawling out from underneath a stone down under, and just was her bogan whore self to hook up with strangers for a couple of nights of fun (hint..hint). Which makes her really a country bumpkin pretending to wear the emperor's new clothes.

I believe she knew exactly who would be in the slipp inn and was there to get her job done....well, we all know what happened....ta-da.....she succeeded.

Didn't Mary skip a birthday (or similar) party and go to the Slip Inn instead, because she was told there would be royalty there? Thinking

A friend's going away party.....

And yes, Mary knew who would be there.

I agree.

There's nothing significant about F&M.
In fact, after they had Christian, they became irrelevant.

Denmark needed an heir of the heir.....
but it's old-fashion and wanted their heir to be lawfully married before spawning.
Love was not a necessity.
