Thanks guys. There's no major drama going on, just feel a bit overwhelmed sometimes by the needs of others such as my kids, ageing parent and in-laws, challenging job, husband traveling a lot this year. It is the classic middleaged woman syndrome of endlessly looking after others' needs and feeling depleted.

Hang in there darlin'...I think we all can maybe relate to how you're feeling. As Oprah Winfrey once said, women are known to have the "need to please disease" which I thought was a wise statement since it fits us all so well. You're in my thoughts for a brighter day...

Just wanted to say that I really admire Alex. I went to an arrangement with her as guest of honour in 2002 and she was tiny. I had often seen pictures in the magazines and didn't think she was that attractive, but in real life she was beautiful and I think her confident glow atrributed to it. However the latest picture show an emaciated, old and tired woman. What has she been doing? Miss the old you and do something about your hair, it makes you look like a holocaust victim.

Couldn’t agree more with you MoneyPenny! I also used to be a great fan of Princess Alexandra, and now I feel sort of sadness she’s not in her right place any longer…

Personally I think Alex looked the best with this hair style. This is a lovely picture. Her new short hair makes her look old and haggard.

I agree, the shorter hair makes her look harsh.
