Now lets pull back and look at what we know, folks:

WE have yet to see Floppy Frodo and MEdiana EVER engaged or happy with each other.
No I do not mean that fertiliser behaviour they act for the COM dribble...
No what I mean is the stuff ordinary people do who are in a relationship...like what Maggie did to Cap'n Pete Townsend that got them discovered... that sort of sponteous caring, sharing, that shows intimacy and care for one another.
We have yet to see any images/video of this sort of mutual affection from either of them towards each otehr.
We also know that Floppy Frodo has no regard to his vows. he has already cheated on MEdiana on the night of their ' engagement'
She was at 'home' with her Sluurpy Moody and Poison Papa.
This is already documented.

Now, its a small step away from continuing with the delicious life-style he has come to expect as his.
No reason to change it. Its always done this way, and will be again.
the fact that there are at least three of us from differrent parts of the globe have heard the same ahrm...rumours...whell...as they say, there ain't no smoke without no fire...
fire there is. To be sure...

And finally, its very unlikely that MEdiana can or will stay around for the sprogs.
she may try to use - notice I said use - them as a bargaining tool.
She can't: they are state property, same as Mor-Mors rubies.
they can visit her in Sinniy...but untill they are - at least X comes of age to vist - doubt he'll be allowed to visit more-more-y at a whims notice. doubt it at all. Izzy is of no importance, either way.

And Floppy Frodo can and is legally allowed to grant his own divorce, once he gets his chair!
this too is a fact.

So, yeah, maybe we better pop more pop-corn folks, we'll need it...we'll be all glued to our screens to move other wise!

I am very sorry to burst any bubbles, but seriously I can't for the life of me see a reason why they should divorce.
Mary will IMO only file for divorce if one of two highly unlikely circumstances should occur:
Prince Charles will offer for her and make her finally Queen of Britain and Australia
or
Denmark has become a republic, Fred and Mary are Mr. and Mrs. Fred Glucks and now a ueberrich billionaire offers for her with the promise to make her Australias no1 top socialite...

Why should Fred want a divorce?
He doesn't strike me as the romantic guy who falls head over heels and needs roses, champagne and a bridal march.
He is married, has two kids, the succession is covered, his wife is sufficiently liked and pop in Denmark, her lust for fame ensures her constant limelight seeking (so she will "work" and take the heat) and she is apparently fine with him visiting her bedroom much less often than those of his paramours. I'd think this is almost a playboys heaven. He has it all and can even enjoy the cake.
And considering that Mary can never be toooooo sure of him, he can call the shots. Perfect...
I seriously can't see this serial cheater and never-going-for-a-mature-relationship guy suddenly in his midlife crisis wanting a fullfilling and caring relsip with a mature and intelligent woman.
If all he  might be going to replace Mary in about 5-10 years with a younger model...

I have personally heard from a friend who told me about a friend of a friend (I know, I know - but isn't that how rumours go?) who slept with Frederik right before the engament. I personally think it's very plausable that he will cheat at some point, if he hasn't already. He cheated on Betina after all - and had no problems hooking up with Maria while she was still with her former boyfriend. I think he's morals on that are quite relaxed..

As the proverb says : "If he cheated with you, he'll cheat on you..."

charles did not cheat with diana but he certainly cheated on her (and vice versa)... juan carlos did not cheat with sofia (or did he?) but he cheated on her, repeatedly...

Hi Getafix,
Could you explain what you mean about Frederick cheating on Mary the night of their engagement?  I had never heard that.  Where was it documented?  I find it hard to believe that such a thing could happen.  That being said, I always wondered why they didn't spend that night in each other's company, excited about the coming announcement, rather than Mary having dinner with her father and stepmother but without her fiance.

Well, now that you are on the subject of abortion, there is a rumour, although not a very persistent one, that Fred did indeed manage to knock up some girl (someone not publicly linked to him). It is said to have been back in the mid-late 90'ies and supposedly the pregnancy was terminated one winter at a the hospital in Skagen.

Then there is talk in certain circles that back in the bachelor days, Fred used to prefer his flings to be of the bossy firm-handed kind.

Other than that he's said to be a very nice guy and cool around his friends from back in the days no matter their background. Then there are of course the accusations about him and the wife keeping a gang of not-very-close but rich hangarounds on in order to mooch of them and take advantage of their summer houses in upscale locations, borrow their boats etc. Press photos, vacation plans and such from the last decade confirms this image.

Well, that's not surprising that Fred needed his girls to be bossy boots/stern nanny types. Thanks for the clarification. Fred used to have a wee bit of testosterone, so I was hoping for his sake to still have the fossil of a backbone in his tiny little pixie body. Oh well.
