Could the Washington, DC trip have been a PLOY by Daisy

Could the DC trip have been a PLOY by Daisy/grey suits to keep the Icon Couple from NOT attending Cousin Constantine's 70th Birthday Bash at Marie-Chantel & Pavlos HOME....................after all Queen Elizabeth as well as many other "real" royals would be attending...asnd no one can ever guess what the Icon would do to get attention...........many of those Royals would NOT BE AMUSED by the dysfunctional CO Couple

Just like Daisy sent Papa John to Australia to give out some silly award so he wouldn't be able to attend HER 70th Birthday Bash

If the Icon Couple had no engagements they would havee had to be invited.....................(Wonder if they made FOOLS of themselves at Charles PRIVATE 60th Birthday Bash.................that no one has talked about--------------so we will nEVER know, darn-it !)

The DC trip has no purpose.................but then the Icon Couple has no purpose

No sure Daisy/Greymen can trust Freddy either to not make a fool out of himself.....especially with flowing champagne & what not

Has the Icon Couple been around MarieChantel & Pavlos since Charles 60th Birthday Bash.................perhaps they did something while on a visit to MC home......and she laid the law down that they were NOT welcome...............................
rather than cause a scene they were sent on the worthless trip

Look at who was there - people with direct descendence from or close relation to the kings of Greece along with their partners. Marina of Kent's brood, the Duke of Edinburgh and two of his children, etc. This was a bit of a closed guest list. Daisy and Benedikte got the invites as sisters of the king's wife, and because they represent the "home" of Greek kings (Denmark). None of their children were there.

Very smart of Marie Chantal to think of this way of setting up the invites so that cousin Fred and his weird wife wouldn't have to be there! I think they'd rather be on a yacht with a bunch of useless Danish nobles anyway!

I also remember Pavlos' 40th Birthday Party, which of course MC organized......Haakon and MM were among the party guests, as well as Christina and Iñaki and Alexandra and Jefferson but nowhere in sight was the Clown couple. I guess ordering all those little girl's dresses from MC's boutique didn't get the Bogan from Danmark into Marie Chantal's inner circle of friends.

Pavlos and MC have really nothing to do with Fred and Mary, despite being Christian's Godfather. Yet MM has a background similiar to Mary, quite scandalous by Royal standards yet she and MC are good friends. So one cannot imply that MC is being a snob

I get the feeling it is worse than that. Mary blatantly and cluelessly asks MC for free stuff, MC gets very bored and tired by the bogan behaviour, and Pavlos encourages her to give Cousin Fred's weird wife a few things out of the sake of family unity, so MC sends the As Is items and the unsolds. 

Although, MC may throw in a couple of pretty, girly things out of concern for darling Izzy's well-being. That's probably where Izzy's occasional smocked dress and pick cardi come from.

I've never gotten the feeling that anyone here thinks MC is a snob. She can well afford not to be. But she lives at the upper most extreme of the social caste ladder, very far away from the bogans. Sister probably just doesn't like Mary. Because even if you have all the money in the world to build a moat to keep the bogans out of your fabulous life, you can't prevent your husband's cousin from marrying that freak from Tasmania who globbed onto him one drunken night in a dumb bar and rode him for all he was worth.

At least one of the smocked dresses and the pink cardi were Marie Chantal, I saw them on her website.  As far as MC being a snob, maybe, just maybe she is a little jealous of Morey...Lord knows she's got far and away more money and social connections, but Bogan Morey has the title to a legitimate throne.  Being Crown Princess of Greece isn't in the classic sense of being a CP in these other countries.  And part of me feels that the label of CP was very important to the Miller family.  It's only my opinion but something to think about I guess.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't there a story going around that at the Slip Inn Mary had hit on Nikolaos before she moved on to Fred?  Maybe they know something about Mary and what truly went on that night.  To me that would explain a lot about why she gets so nervous and sweaty around them.  Perhaps they are as confused as we are as to why Fred married this woman.  Then again if something was that bad, surely Anne Marie would have said something to Marge about the woman her son is marrying.
