Patron role
When members of the royal family assumes patronage , it means that they will undertake to encourage the relevant association , institution, cause or organization. This can be done in many different ways , but generally applies that the royal support patronage to help publicize the individual patronage and through this work to inspire that other people also want to provide support in various ways .
Often, patrons pay annual visits to the patronage , and also be present at special events and events. Depending on the nature of patronage may also be frequent meetings.
Commitment royal patronage may differ from case to case, and may for example be based on general charitable activities or export promotion.
It is broadly possible to divide the patronage of those who have committed lifelong patronage and those who have one-time commitment. Many , especially the humanitarian organizations have undertaken continuous patronage , while the patronage of exhibitions, conferences or similar generally granted only if the member of the royal family can be present at the opening .

How nice with another patronage! Smiley I'm sure she'll be great at it. Would love more humanitarian things for her too, though. It's very pleasing that this one didn't go to our fashion icon Smiley

me too, Harley, but I think with this jewerly patronage it is also about Danish products and trade. And so I think it's good for her, and as their patron she'll might get access to some more bling  Spiteful

And at least we know that unlike Mary, she'll actually wear the Danish products that she promotes.

yup! Wisely said, pixiecat!  Thumb up we know she'll be there: Copenhagen Jewellery Fair 2010 will take place from 26 - 29 August 2010 in Bella Center - we know she'll be there

and what's even more important:

Scandinavia's biggest Jewellery Fair
COPENHAGEN JEWELLERY FAIR, formerly known as GOLD*SILVER*WATCHES, is the largest Scandinavian trade fair within jewellery and watches.

The trade fair presents two awards:

> The  Bella Nordic Jewellery Award, celebrating the finest workmanship of goldsmiths.
> The Brand New Award , celebrating upcoming innovative artists, goldsmiths, manufacturers and designers.

fluff fluff fluff fluff this is one of the reasons I can't take this royal family seriously  Dead

Mary actually wears a lot of Danish jewelry so IMO that's makes her a better patron for this cause

Maybe Marie will be able to score a new tiara out of this patronage.  Wouldn't that make Mares furious?!  Icecream

I'm glad Marie has another patronage but I agree with hanzo.

The trade/busines aspect of the cause is quite interesting however I suspect that Marie's involvement will be similar to Mary's with CIFF. She'll probably attend an annual trade fair and that will be it.
