I think she looks quite good in these photos. B ut it is clear that she misses the limelight. These photos are not promoting her patronages they are promoting herself.
I think we are in for a pregnancy announcement from Marie.

It does seem attention seeking, and pointless. Am I right in assuming she is now a private citizen? 'One' can only assume she's either missing the limelight, or trying to send a message to her ex husband and his parents.
She is a titled person who receives a civil list allotment so I'm not sure if she is a completely private citizen. I think these photos are an ego-boost for her. 46 is not a milestone birthdate so I'm guessing that her replacement is pregnant OR her current husband is less than faithful and has himself a young chickie-boom on the side. Just a hunch. |

I'm sure she misses the limelight but I have never had the feeling that she is jealous of Marie. I don't think Marie gets a lot of attention in the media (it mostly goes to Mosh) and I think Alex is happy to be rid of Jokke and his dysfunctional family. Still, she misses the princess life style it seems...

Sometimes. When alexandra and joachim engagement in Hong Kong is indeed very shocking. Because alex has 4 copies of a Chinese descent and grew up in Hong Kong. But not too many reports. When they divorced a newspaper front-page news to report. But not Too many people pay attention to the royal family news (except the British royal family). and alex are very low profile on each visit. so that's not too much. |

OMG this woman is so pathetic and attention seeking. How sad that she felt the need to publish photos of herself on her 46th birthday, no one gives a crap and the photos are like those sad glamour shots that bogans get  It just proves she is nothing but a slutty media whore and jealous of her ex husbands new wife and the attention Marie gets |

Hi DL, she's still a countess and still has duties - plus she is the mother of the so manyeth in line to the throne ... so not exactly a private citizen. I'm not sure whether she has security detail ...  |

I'm not sure whether she has security detail ... Her publicity possibilities are going to be fewer and fewer now that Mares is preggers with twins. Good thing Alex got these photos out when she did.
