I've always been of the opinion that Joachim and Alex's upcoming divorce was one of the main factors for speeding up F&M's marriage. It's possible that with hindsight Fred now "blames" his brother for putting him in a position where he had to marry Mary and resents him for it. Especially now when he seems to have little or no interest in Mary.

Secondly, while it may not seem plausible to you, knowing the DRF and how image-focused they are, it's not inconceivable that Marge pushed for a big happy event in the DRF, to balance the potential negative feelings towards the DRF that a divorce might have brought about. |

Right before the wedding Joachim and Alex went and looked at the house Joachim bought for Alex. In other words their divorce was put on hold and they had to pretend to be happily married in order to keep the facade until after the wedding. I don't think it's stupid to guess that Frederik was kindly nudged to get married as DRF was about to loose their star-member and hardest worked.

 I have mixed emotions about this picture. Nikolai was around three years old, so it must be what? 2002-2003 and I fear that this photo session kickstarted something in Frederik's head a la, "Oh I want children too, this child raising is fun!". Then he went looking for a womb and the rest is painful history. And I don't think I care for Frederik's eyes on the picture. Not a look that would give him a quick loan at the bank. |
