Letizia was photographed back in May meeting Isabel Sartorious, and now the latter has given an interview to Hola, she is on the cover. Do notice the extensive photoshop. http://www.diezminutos.es...y_su_misterioro_encuentrohttp://www.hola.com/revista/3440/portada/Isabel Sartorious says she is now closer to Letizia than to the Prince, whom she calls a dear old friend. Of course her relationship with Felipe was a long time ago, but I think it's odd that they have become friends. Polite and welcoming, yes, but a close friendship seems awkward on both sides, imo.

I don't understand why Isabel is blabbing to the press. She used to maintain extreme discretion. You couldn't get a word out of her for years. And now she does interviews and photo shoots every now and then. And yes, there is quite a bit of photoshopping.

I think Isabel is getting some financial benefit out of her interviews, at least the ones she does for Hola. I don't know if she has spoken to other magazines, somehow I think not, because Hola has a soft spot for her and is always painting her in a good light, even when she doesn't deserve it.
As for the pictures, I hate her black nail polish, and they've taken at least two inches off her double chin, you can see it in the Diez Minutos photos.

Gwen, that's right that she got paid to give an exclusive interview for Hola. She is in debt after the failed accessory business. I heard she borrowed money from her ex-lover who died last year due to cancer, now his ex-wife wanted the money back, she is probably quite desparate for money IMO. Recently she joined antena 3 and would collaborate every week in debates on the "social scene", perhaps more publicity would help the rating of the program.

I think the interview has the blessing of Felipe and Leti. There were many getting $$$$ talking about Leti in the tabloids, some are probably disliked by Leti much (ex. Jaime P), why not Isabel to reduce her debt ?

It doesn't seem particularly strange if they mingle in the same social circles that they have become friends.
I can think of a few friends I know with a similar situation and personally I think it's very healthy if 2 women are able to look past the common denominator (the man) and build a relationship of their own.

dkaren, which boyfriend of Isabel's died? Was it her daughter's father? I don't know any other. I guess her father didn't leave any money. Do you know who succeeded to his title? Edited to Add: I don't think Isabel Sartorious has ever held a job in her life for more than a few months. I remember when she started working for El Mundo years ago, she could have made a career out of that opportunity, but it didn't last and she was soon out looking for something else to do. She's a loser on more than one level in my opinion.
Little Star, I agree with you if the women involved are ordinary people, but in this case there is a lot of baggage that makes this friendship fodder for the tabloids. I hope it's worth it.

Just how close was this Isabel to Flip that Leti also got to know her? I can't imagine being friends with a woman who was my husband's lover. You will always wonder Hope they are not ganging up against F or Leti receiving advise from IS on how to handle disappointment by F

The boyfriend died last year was not her daughter's father, he was called Fernando Ballvé, a multi-millionaire business man. Isabel had dated quite a few men after her daughter's father. Her brother has her father's title. Her father was rumored be in debt when he married Nora of Liechtenstein, her mom had no money either. Her mom had been living at the flat bought by her stepmom Nora of Liechtenstein before she died last year in Argentina. You are right that she never had a steady job even with so many opportunities given to her. She had tried to be a journalist for El Mundo, but she couldn't take the notes properly, she said herself her Spanish was not good enough since she went to a French school, American University.

I doubt they are very close friends, just like LS said, they mingled in the same circles, probably quite friendly with each other. I think Felipe and Letizia have been sympathized with her 'misfortunes' over the years, have tried to help her at times, wanted her to be successful. For example, Leti had carried a bag from her collection right after she started her business, last year before her business was closed down, Leti was said to spend 7000 euro on her handbags to help her financially.
