Denmark’s princess Marie names her roseFREDENSBORG, Denmark, July 12, 2010: Poulsen Roser, a renowned garden and pot rose breeder from Denmark, is proud to announce that princess Marie of Denmark has accepted the invitation to name the lovely new Rosa “Princess Marie” at the annual Rose Festival in Bogense, Denmark on August 7.
Princess Marie is married to Prince Joachim who is fourth in line to the Danish throne She was given the rose as a wedding present by the renowned Danish rose breeding company Poulsen Roser.
Morten Andersen, the mayor of North Funen, will welcome HRH Princess Marie at Bogense town hall. After the naming of the rose the mayor and the princess will go by open carriage through the city of Bogense to finally attend a reception at the town hall.
On the occasion talented florists will be decorating the town’s streets and the harbour area. There will be a poster competition, jazz on the pier and exhibitions of exquisitely set christening tables, christening gowns and their history at the beautiful old town hall. There will also be an opportunity to take guided tours of the rose fields where the rose gardeners will give talks on rose production. Wonderful rose sculptures on the theme of christening will appear all over town. As always, the public will choose the Festival’s castle rose and the most beautiful rose decoration in town.

in this article: " Denmark’s princess Marie names her rose " you unfortunately published the "wrong princess". The picture shows Crown Princess Mary of Denmark, and not as your article states Princess Marie of Denmark.
I assume, following your information, that the photo is wrong. A bit embarrassing I would say!
Hope you can exchange it fast.

PeDe-I love your new avi!  Good for Marie. I'm glad she's getting her own rose. I couldn't help but laugh at the way the name of the town reads (I'm sure it isn't pronounced like it looks)-Bogen-se. Maybe that's why they put the pic of Mares with the article? They saw Bogan and Mary came to mind.  |

Shows just how "well known" both the M's are on the international stage, I guess, if a journalist (and I use that term very loosely) and editor can't even tell them apart before they go to print...get ready for a whole new wave of DRF PR onslaught to eliminate any trace of "Princess ignorance"! Maybe Marie can send Mary the bouquet of roses they give her when she attends the event? Well she could, hopefully the operation to get Mary's head out of her ass will be scheduled for that same day so Marie can be just as classy as her s-i-l and share her pretty bouquet with her |
