It is the favorite game of tabloid journalists: In the far Denmark there are two very pretty princesses, in-law. The one comes from Australia, while the other is French-born, but both look confusingly similar.
Like identical twins. Crown Princess Mary (38) and Princess Marie (34) bear identical hairstyles - they have a long, dark mane, and like the same designer, for example, the Danish label "by Malene Birger". Therefore, they are perceived in the matters of style as competitors. That makes at least a very good press.
The latest comparison game: After Mary supported the Copenhagen fashion fair with her name, they offered her sister-in-law a comparable job. Marie is now patron of the Copenhagen Jewellery Fair. Even if her new job has nothing to do with fashion, but then at least with diamonds and tiaras.
As the magazine "Billed Bladet" reported, the princess first appearance will be on 29 August - then she draws from the best Nordic jewelry designer. The organizers hope to support one of Marie's extra motivation for the jewelers. But above all, they feel honored that a Royal is its patron .
Hard working Marie is catching up to her sister-in-law in other disciplines as well - Marie is committed to the Danish Ski Association and the National Commission for UNESCO, is patron of the annual literary prize "Prix des Ambassadeurs Littéraire" and supports the Toender music festival.

Great article PeDe!  I don't think they look alike as much as they did when Marie was engaged to Jokke. It would be really fun if someone would do a comparison of parenting styles (including pics with their children  ).  I think we'd know who would look like the better mother. |

Maybe Marie will toss another "tiara" Mary's way similar to the nut and berries tiara she wore to Marge's Fredensborg BD party. If so maybe the spokes on the new tiara will pick up even better satellite and extra terrestial communcations.  |

At first I did a double take when Marie was first dating JoJo there but now, they are so different to me. Mary wishes she looked at good as Marie.

It might be a campaign but unlike Mary's arranged photo shoots, Marie isn't faking affection toward her baby and step children. Compare this to Mary's Swiss photoshoots each winter. Night and day. Either Marie is a heck of a good actress or she gasp actually likes being with her child. I definitely don't think she's a good actress. Even if this is part of a PR campaign-at least she looks more natural in her pics. |
