Perhaps the DRF wants to improve Marie's image and this may be the start of it. But I'm just speculating. no...you're sniffing in the right direction Didn't Daisy 'create' and keep improving MEdiana's image/performance once she joined the firm, when Alex was already known to be on the way out? Maybe that's what's happening now... hmmmm Pede G [/quote] Good thinking, Getafix. But I have to wait before I give you a

Perha[s it is really simple. Mary doesn't want to work so very hard----she just MUST have more vacation time Marie wants to work harder (with Joachim pushing her in the right direction)

INteresting that Should-Be-King Jokke and the beautiful Marie have toned down their own holidays ... they haven't been to Turkey so far have they, that we know? Looks to me as though Jokke and Marie and Margrethe and Henrik are very much on a PR blitz for these two ... Mary is on a sloooooooow track to oblivion ...

Just the family homestead Cayx where they had a photoshoot at the market in Cahors a la Daisy, dodging all manner of Boganson and Freckled Gargoyle. As the photos in the next BB illustrate, the Schackenborgs were relaxed and lingered at the fois gras stand, unafraid of samples. Can you imagine Mary eating a fatty animal-based spread on a carbohydrate? The bloat would be the least of her troubles - she'd probably be fearful of turning her carefully orchestrated, full-lipstick, pretend-bites into full-blown Hoovering as an unconscious reaction to her near-starving state with no regard for serviettes or crumb control!

Indeed I cannot, and that's sad. I think mares looks great generally and I'm all for excercise and health, but it's a pity when it becomes an obsession. I genuinely can't imagine mares eating delicious treats...but of course I don't really know what she eats on a day to day basis...perhaps she's not afraid of a bit of chocolate or something.....remember those photos of her at the raw bar with her friend? Raw bar? boring!!! chick

Yeah, boring is right! Maybe a bite of 70% bitter chocolate after the kids go to bed or before a party - you know, to loosen up for the evening! Meanwhile, her husband would be getting acquainted with the form of carb called a hop.

Interesting article in the German BUNTE(google translation) Actually this is the Danish princess from the second row, but in matters of style she has almost overtaken her sister in law. Marie (34) makes Mary (38) a tough competition. Both of them are girls from the people, one comes from Australia, the other - Marie - is French. And they both have a passion for fashion. While the title "fashion princess previously belonged to Mary, Marie style brings her closer to the title, from appointment to appointment.
The latest example came: As her mother-in-law Margrethe (70) with husband Henrik (76) visited her home town of Tønder, near the German-Danish border, all the attention moved, not to the Queen, but to Marie. Her outfit looked charming: The Princess disembarked from the dark sedan in a steel-blue costume. Immediately all eyes zoomed from the bright Louboutin Pumps sweeping skyward to her straw hat. This chic hippie model is from Marie's favourite Danish designer Malene Birger and was the perfect contrast to classic clothing.
Not only is the mayor couldn't stop swarming over her ("We are incredibly proud that Prince Joachim and Princess Marie reside here in the community"), also the onlookers jostled to catch a glimpse of their beautiful neighbor.
Marie and Joachim (41) live with son Henrik (1) and their Bichon Frise dog - named "Apple" Schackenborg Castle. There, the prince runs 969 acres of a farm and forest operation. The couple lives far less comfortable than Mary and Frederik (42), whose residence Amalienborg Palace was restored for about € 30 million. Even though Schakenborg would need a complete overhaul as well, it is said to be very drafty, Marie seems to be bothered very little by it.

Might as well close this thread. Unless Marie can produce triplets, she is a non person for the next year.

Good point CD, but I still think if she would have a little princess, the baby would be so pretty and prettily dressed that it might take a lot away from what Miss Thang does to this set of children.

It's just too bad I think Marie is already pregnant maybe in her first month and can't wait to announce that. And then she goes to Grasten and BAM! Now I just hope she is going to have a very beautiful girl. And maybe she's still pregnant at the christening.

I think if anyone else in the DRF announces a pregnancy the average Danish Taxpayer is going to have a stroke. The exception to this is if TEEF announces a pregnancy.

I think if anyone else in the DRF announces a pregnancy the average Danish Taxpayer is going to have a stroke. The exception to this is if TEEF announces a pregnancy. I see it as an implausibility that anyone in Joachim's branch will be supported by the Danish taxpayers in the future. (The fact that Ingolf and Alexandra are supported now, is something of a remedy from the DRF's heydays) If the Danish monarchy is going to survive, I would also think that there should be a consideration of how many of Mary and Frederik's children should get on the list. Currently, in the Netherlands, only the Queen, the Prince of Orange and his wife are receiving apanages. The Queen's other two children have their own careers, in addition to doing royal duties from time to time. (I presume they are compensated from the Queen's apanage for those duties, but that's a private family matter.) In Norway, the only ones receiving an apanage are the King&Queen & the Crown Prince&Crown Princess. (So two apanages in total) Princess ML renounced her apanage when she started her own business - but receives money from her parents' for the times she's representing the state. Princess Astrid never received an apanage, afaik, but receives an honorary pension from the state since her 70th birthday. The NRF took steps to ensure that the royal house would be small, by not giving Sverre an HRH at the time of his birth. When the Danes changed the constitution back in 1953 they changed the original ancestor the heirs had to descend from, from Christian IX to Christian X. By doing so, even by adding females, they nixed a large portion of the list. The line of succession to the Danish throne has traditionally had a lot of people in it, but not all of them have necessarily been supported directly by the Danish state, nor should they be. There is a limit to how many people can work for the family in a country the size of Denmark. Apologies for the ramble.
