Ingrid looked fab with her jewels Mary wearing them feels like mockery of Ingrid IMO. She looks like a clown or a cheap girl playing dress-up.If it looks like a duck, waddles like a duck and quacks like a duck - then it ain't no swan. You hit the nail on the head, Maria.

Mary wishes she could get her hands on that Khedive tiara. Never in her wildest dreams (or due to destiny) will she ever get it. It will probably end up in either Alexia's, Theo's, or maybe even MC's hands. And that is perfectly okay with me From your lips, pixiecat. (I would you, if I hadn't already done it today!) The idea of Mary wearing the gorgeous Khedive tiara is . I agree with you that it will probably stay in the GRF, but I wish, like Victory that it would be returned to the the Swedes. It would look stunning on Vicky, and it's a shame for such a beautiful tiara to be in the hands of a former royal house whose members will only have the opportunity to wear it when someone remembers to invite them to an important royal event. Regarding the ruby tiara, I've expressed my loathing for it in the Tiara thread. But since it's one of my least favorite tiaras, it seems only fitting that my least favorite CP should wear it. I'd hate to see it resting on the head of someone I actually like!

Now when the Danes are "celebrating" Swedish Queen Ingrid, could they please give her jewels back? Is this year the 10th anniversary of her death?
I suspect the family wants to remind the Danes of the good times and good ol' days of the family, you know when Fred and Jokke were young and there was so much hope and promise for the family... I think it's all nostalgia.
So true....! You'll have to cut off Mary's head in order to get that parure away from her. Vive La Révolution?

Vive La Révolution? Mais oui! Prepare the tumbrel for Mary Antoinette after the Danes storm the Bastillienborg, separating Madam from her shoe closet for eternity (but just put her on a plane to Hobart instead of to the guillotine)! Wha hae!

If you ask me, I'd think this would be a sign of the apocolypse...I don't think Fred ever embraced his wife like this. He can't even touch her now while she's pregnant.[/quote] You're absolutely right. I honestly cannot recall a photo of F&M looking so comfortable, relaxed and happy with each other. There's something incredibly natural about Joachim and Marie here.

Yea, why is that? Why isn't Fred showing any kind of affection towards Mary? They must have known that she was pregnant when they travelled to Washington in June yet when Mary lost her shoe and needed help Fred just stood there and did nothing. It is always Mary clinging on Fred, never the other way around. Off topic but I can't help noticing how nicely Marie's feet fit into her shoes, not ramming them in.

It's even stranger when you consider that they are constantly hailed as being "madly in love".....
