Every time I see photos like this, I still always feel sorry for any of these royal kids. I know it's part and parcel of their life in the public eye, but the first day is nerve wracking enough for kids without having to have their pictures being taken by the press.

I agree. But I guess these photos talen on the first day means they get more privacy the rest of the year. At least I hope so. |

It seems to me that the Belgian royals and the press have a good working relationship when it comes to the privacy of royal children. There are the scheduled photo ops, but other than those I don't recall seeing too many photos of the children.
I hope that all students around the world have a successful and happy school year.

Kids are so cute! I think Princess Mathilde is a wonderful mom. I’m not so keen on her miniskirts and colour&accessory preferences, though. And why Prince Philippe often looks like he’d rather be somewhere else? Too shy? Bored? Slightly melancholic?
