Why is Laetitia Maria a princess ?
She's a Princess also because her father was born His Imperial and Royal Highness Archduke Lorenz of Austria-Este, Prince Imperial of Austria, Prince Royal of Hungary, Croatia and Bohemia. If I'm not mistaken children get their titles from there fathers unless you were born the child of a female heir you also receive the HRH Prince(ss).

But it must be really cold in Belgium if she is wearing tights! Not cold but coolish...even in the middle of summer. The cool (16C), cloudy, and drizzly days often coincide on the days I am there

From what I remember, King Albert granted the title of Prince of Belgium to Archduke Lorenz in 1995 and extended it to his Hapsburg grandchildren.

TJ's is awesome (and much cheaper than Whole Foods). I like WF too, but TJ's is my all time fave. They have the best hummus dips (their own brand) and really good stuff in the refrigerated and frozen foods section. I love to stock up on stuff to take to work for lunch at TJ's.

Jumping in to add my own two cents about Trader Joe's. This is my favorite grocery store of all time...love the hummus too! My kids just had chocolate Joe Joe sandwich cookies for dessert tonight. Michelle, my sister lives in TX as well and has been praying for TJ to make a move there. She stocks up on loves of cracked wheat sourdough bread, coffee, and other TJ non-perishables whenever she is here in CA.

I would LOVE a TJ here but honestly, I don't see them coming here in the near future. Especially in Austin. This is the city where Whole Foods is founded. I like Whole Foods but sheesh. There's a reason they call it Whole Paycheck!!

I've been trying to find more info about this, but it is a bit difficult as I don't know french or dutch. Thanks to wiki I've found that all the children of Astrid are prince/ess of Belgium but I'm not still sure if the title cames from her or the king gave them those titles wiki says that Royal Decree on 2 December 1991 belgium made prince/ess of Belgium, before this decree was passed Astrid's issue was not prince/ss of Belgium. And I have also doubt if Astrid's daughters can pass this title to their children, can someone find this decree even if it is in french please? And archduke Lorenz got the title of prince of Belgium in 1996: * His Imperial and Royal Highness Archduke Lorenz of Austria-Este, Prince Imperial of Austria, Prince Royal of Hungary, Croatia and Bohemia (1955-1995) * His Imperial and Royal Highness Archduke Lorenz of Austria-Este, Prince of Belgium, Prince Imperial of Austria, Prince Royal of Hungary, Croatia and Bohemia (1995-1996) * His Imperial and Royal Highness Prince Lorenz[4], Archduke of Austria-Este, Prince of Belgium, Duke of Modena, Prince Imperial of Austria, Prince Royal of Hungary, Croatia and Bohemia (1996-present)

I have some info from the book"Royal Familes of Europe, before Albert succeded his brother Baudouin all Belgian princesses were NOT in line to inherit the throne they stuck to boys only, but once Albert became King he changed the constitution in 1993 because Astrid his only married child who had children(boys) Astrid and Lorentz's kids are in the line of sucession and making them prince/princess and they were Belgian spares until Princess Elizabeth was born they are ahead of Laurent and his three kids. Prince Philipe didn't announce his engagement to Mathilde until Sept. 1999 (and there was no garantee they would/could have kids. ) A good book in english is "Defiant Dynasty" by Theo Aronson it was written back in 1968 but has alot of details on the family!

That’s wrong. Rearden provided the correct information in her post. The constitution was changed in 1991 on King Baudouin’s initiative. Albert has nothing to do with it at all.

Edited to add: astrid's children received their "prince/ss" title from their mother.
