I didn't like her outfit, too casual for an official event for a member of DRF. However, she speaks enghlish very well, you can't recognise french accent.

Only if you listen carefully, BUT remember she lived in NYC for a while

However, she speaks enghlish very well, you can't recognise french accent. Honestly?! Nothing against Marie but I think her English sounds terrible. It is fluent, no question, but you can definitely hear that she's french.

The news clips reports that there are many more foreing students than ever before.I don't think it's good news for Denmark! Those EU students coming here get a FREE education when in the UK, Germany and some other EU countries, EU students have to pay! They should introduce some sort of fees, tho I guess the EU would claim Denmark was discriminating against EU students.

The problem is not that the EU students come to Denmark - already 3-4 years ago they added a tuition fee for international students - but that so few Danish students go abroad to utilize the bi-lateral agreements in that regard. Danish students have the possibility of studying everywhere in the EU, based on the same principles as the nationals in the country they choose, and on even better terms than the nationals there as they would bring with them the SU - but they don't seem to do it. I read an article in Politiken recently where someone was complaining about the number of Norwegian and Swedish students coming to take up study spaces in Denmark - and how few Danes went the other way, and what could be done to get more Danes to go abroad. (Instead of just going to Jutland, or Funen for the Copenhageners, which might be a long expedition in itself ) When I was studying at university, getting more international students was actually a term of the agreement my school had with the department, as was getting more of the students at the school to go abroad. It marginally succeeded in reaching the first goal, and failed abysmally on the second one.

Isn't the fee charged to non- EU? I know that for instance that tho CBS has international students, not that many are tuition paying(chinese, Americans etc),the rest are EU. I read an article in Politiken recently where someone was complaining about the number of Norwegian and Swedish students coming to take up study spaces in Denmark - and how few Danes went the other way, and what could be done to get more Danes to go abroad. It marginally succeeded in reaching the first goal, and failed abysmally on the second one. Anyways, why aren't that many Danes going abroad- if am not wrong- the Danish govt can pay for courses that are unavailable in Denmark. BTW, I have no problem with Internalisation, just the fee aspect.

In her English, I hear a bit of the New York Spanish accent. Maybe I'm hearing what I want to but it doesn't sound French to me.

She sounds French, but her English is good compared to her SIL's whose native language is actually English. Marie's English >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Mosh's English.
