I reckon Mary would read TRF and 'the other' Mary board. Doubt she would dare venture here....
If she did, she would do so only once! I remember several years ago (while in the early days of her romance with Jokke) that Marie registered on the COM board and sent the "higher ups" on the Board into the dithers!

I just remember that somehow the Mods got the info that Marie was indeed a registered user of the COM. I can't remember if she posted or not. She made no attempts to register under another email address and it was evidently pretty obvious to those who had access to that info (ir Higher Ups) who she was; this was during the period when she was talking a bit too much to the press ( very early into the relationship) and "everyone" thought it was gauche and strange that she would be so openly reading her own press. I think she just subsequently disappeared. It was a strange interlude if it was indeed her. If it was her, I think she was still just very naive and untutored in the ways of the Royal world.

If I'm a royal I would read anything about me (esp all criticises) to learn more what ppl expect from a royal to avoid doing any mistake in the future. I suspect Marie does it & that would explain why she avoids looking at camera but of course she could also be just like other princesses who are not a camera whore.

ITA with your post Galuh, if anything it would be morbid curiosity about how I'm perceived to the people. I do think Marie probably does read this...bon jour Marie...and also I think Mary reads this because as the old saying goes, "bad press is better than no press". So if you are reading this Mary, stop being such a disappointment, start taking your privileges and position seriously and gratefully, treat your man with some respect and for his position which is the only reason you have all this stuff; and mostly TAKE CARE OF YOUR CHILDREN, ALL FOUR OF THEM. God has blessed you mightily; and what He gives, He can take away too!! If you do all of these things, maybe you won't have to wince when you read the Royal Dishers blog!!

Galuh -as funny as I think it is that Marie registered at that board, I think that you have a point. Marie seemed to shut up after the criticism she got for talking to the press. This was most likely due to Jokke telling her to shut up but it could also have to do with people on the boards making fun of her for that. I know that Butterteef has said that she reads all the press about herself. Mary is so vain and shallow that either she 1. reads press and possibly a forum or two; or 2. she's in such denial that she avoids forums and any non BB press due to the false assumption she probably carries that "everyone is jealous". If Mary was smart, she would look at the criticism we give her. It could help her improve her image. But her ego gets in the way I think. Joys-I owe you one when the time's up

Yes and let's also remember that Marie never took a Starmakers course. I'm quite convinced that Mary owes her princess title to Theresa Page. If she hadn't signed up at Starmakers so early in her romance with Fred, she might not have been told to keep silent and instead "pulled a Marie" by being so eager to talk to the press, get attention, etc. I'm sure that Mary was coached by Theresa, otherwise, not knowing any other royals or famous people, she might well have gone overboard when the press came a callin'

Personally I take a different view. I think that I would not pay too much attention to all the bad comments. I would probably read stuff about myself, but maybe not all of it (that's a lot I think) and maybe listen to some of it, but if I tried to counteract all the bad comments - wave less, look at the camera less, smile more etc, then it would be unatural. I would be exhausted and unhappy trying to be something I'm not. It is impossible to please everyone. I may have both my fanatics ( ) and my detractors (what would you say about my sausage fingers? ). What if one tells me to wave more and the other to wave less? I would just be myself - try my very hardest, but still be me. It may not be good enough for everyone, but hey, that's life!

I guess that's Mary's biggest problem and why she comes across as so unnatural. She never tries to be herself, she always tries to be this image of what she thinks a perfect princess is...and she ends up failing miserably. I wonder if she even knows who the real Mary is anymore

I can imagine that when you are new to this, being followed by the press just because the guy you are sating is a prince, that you are curious about what is being said about you. Also the boards are a very good way to sort out some information you can't find in old lexica. But after so many years Mary should stop reading the yellow press about her, snooping into "Hail Mary" boards and probably try to find more critical voices, that could give her hints about the national and international weather forecast. Perception is everything in the royal world: so if there are a good many people that doubt your motherly feelings and you are indeed having the fussiest of loe for you little ones, you should simply look into it, see if the most important person shares the loving feeling and when you are quite certain of it, ignore what is being said. Mary however is quite unsecure and very nervous about everything and she needs to find her inner bitch.
As to the TRF thinking they influence Mary (which in a way they most certainly do) I am reminded of the dog who proudly chases a car on the road......
