Is it the same hat as Mary wore in Washington (but different colour)?
Can't say I like the look. She looks like she's in a costume.

Is it the same hat as Mary wore in Washington (but different colour)? It is very similar. If I recall correctly Benedikte wore a similar one at some point, so maybe they all went to the same milliner.

marie is attempting the 40s look once again. the pearls look like a joke on her. the hat is cute and looks nice on her.
gloves would have been appropriate in that setting. her mother in law wore them last year. as does her very own husband.

The fact that only J and M2 are the only ones there tells me that Mary, Fred and Daisy cannot be at the same time in the same place!!

Bonbon got her clothes right for once! Tres chic, very 1940's and that's her look. That's what she should go for. Small little thing: gloves would have been very appropriate on this occasion. Jokke is wearing his "daytime ceremonial" and the Mrs. should wear gloves when accompaniing him....

Where is Fred? Ever since Mary announced the pregnancy we have rarely seen him and when we have he looks bitchy.

Thankyou Hello-Pancake for these lovely pictures. Marie & Joachim are perfect for this engagement. Both very respectful, dressed correctly (I like the pearls)...............NO silly drama or giggling which happens to SIL & BIL. Well done

Derf is to soldiers, as Yrma is to old people…her kids…making an effort with her patronages…being genuine…looking engaged at the task in hand…amateurs, both of them, whereas, the regal Shacks carry the whole thing off with ease, and aplomb, worthy contenders to the crown. The raw material for that job has to be better than bogan! lupina

Mary and Fred could fly all the way to the USA to visit and honor American soldiers but they can't be bothered with Danish soldiers. Wonderful Kronprinsparret you have, Denmark.
I actually like Marie's outfit. It suits her. And Jokke looks good too. We will never know what goes on behind closed doors but in public Jokke is always 100% prince of Denmark. And he chose 2 women who fit into their roles as Danish princess quite nicely. Alex was a good princess, and Marie improves in her role daily.
