Is this a serious picture? It looks like something released for the Twilight film. He looks like a deranged vampire!

Wow between Fred's Eye and Mary's wonky eye, their progeny have a great chance of glasses (at least). The Clown Princely Family.

I have never noticed this on Frederik before. Isn't it just the angle at which he is looking at the camera and the light on the edge of his iris which is making his eye look a bit funny?

I've never noticed it, either, Darc. Maybe EB's having fun with the photoshop on orders from Mary's PR crew to counter attack against her own wonky eye?

I've never noticed Fred's eye before.
I'm probably wrong but it looks (to me at least) as though the photos have been photoshopped or exaggerated to make it look worse than it is.

Curiousity got the better of me (and disbelief, too, regarding Fred's eye), so I did a quick Google seach. A deeep curtsy to the fine folk at The Retard Royal Forum for this helpful bit of info... In Billed Bladet #26, 2010 a Ulla Rasmussen asks about Queen Margrethe's drooping eye.
Jon Bloch Skipper explains: Since her childhood QMII has had a tendency to squint her left eye, when she is tired or not concentrated.
According to the doctor Erik Münster the reason is a lack of balance in the muscles which control the eye. QMII wear glasses with minus 4.5 on her right eye and plus 0.25 on her left eye.
