Honestly, I believe this may be one of the single worst outfits I have seen a princess wear, not merely because it's ugly, but because it is so inappropriate for visiting a research center. To be honest, I can't think of any official duty for which it would be appropriate, unless she was opening a rescue center for fashion victims.
I totally agree. OMG, this is exactly what I was thinking and wanted to write. In addition, the outfit is insulting to the royal family. Something is seriously wrong with Letizia! What happened to the elegantly professionally dressed news presenter and the Princess of the first few years? Please find her someone.

Maybe this is the bargain, she has to wear low-cost clothing so she could have a brand new tiara. Seriously, I think she's taking risks fashion-wise while she is not yet queen, to the point when people are so used to her terrible outfits- nothing can be worse when she's queen. Other than that, I cannot understand why she's doing these fashion disasters. It's a disappointment for a Princess..

Leti looks awful. She is taking the Charles Dickens/Oliver Twist orphan/waif look to a whole new low! Leti needs to got to a fashion school or finishing school and learn how to dress like a lady. Her choices are just dreadful!

OMG, maybe what happened is this. Mary went to say hello at the Greek wedding, she carried her diary with her that had a picture of this outfit in it with the notes "this outfit will surely get me mentioned in Huffington Post". She casually left her diary open to that page on the table when she went to "help" Marie out in the ladies' room knowing full well that Letizia would take a peek at it!! That's it guys...that's the only thing that can explain this monstrous attempt at an outfit, fed to the poor Spanish girl by the Queen of tacky. Letizia has really done so much better...and what's funny is THIS outfit would be better suited to wear flats with!, not that she should wear this outfit!

Wearing cheaper clothes is no excuse to look god awful. The image I posted earlier shows a young woman who managed to pull off a semi-professional look in a Zara blazer and H&M shorts. Even though I find Mary's choice of clothes questionable, I would not consider her the Queen of Tacky. That title goes to Stephanie of Monaco and her soon to be sister-in-law Charlene.

Poor Leti. With the face work she's had done she's become so generic she almost looks like one of those mannequins you see in clothing store display windows. And has she lightened her hair color?
Agree. Images from Cotilleando.

Of course, Dkaren, but this is not a Mary or Maxima thread. Speaking of the Dutch Princess, I have to give her credit for not getting so much cosmetic treatment as Mary and Letizia, she strikes me as being less superficial and more confident in her own skin.

Come on, dkaren, you won't deny that Luna's pictures show a marked change in Letizia's appearance. Maybe she was at her thinnest in the earlier picture, but she doesn't look the same anymore.

I didn't deny the change. She had a nose job, that's known. I meant more wrinkles or less wrinkles in the random pictures, I had seen that in just about every royal woman. Letizia normally didn't look that way as in the first picture even at her thinnest.

Leti's hair in the older picture was awful, but aside from the nose surgery and teeth whitening she doesn't look that different. All the crown princess are probably using Botox and some fillers....but not hopefully during a pregnancy.

Leti is about to become too old to dress like the adolescent inhabiting her body. Yes, she can carry it off, and yes she is very tiny. But there is a point where she should adopt a more regal style. Many of her fashion choices are wonderful, she has a great stylist. She typically looks better than many of the other Princesses. In private she can dress as she pleases. The outfit she wore at this opening looked silly, and was a poor choice. (ahh, she was with Daddy)
