Does Leti have any good girlfriends that she has known for years and is still close to? I never hear anything about her circle of friends either pre-Felipe or after her marriage.
She seems really isolated to me and I think she could use a good group of girlfriends to meet for dinner and drinks!

Most of her old friends are journalists, for example Sonsole Onega (Felipe and Letizia had attended her wedding) and her sister Cristina Onega, Sagrario Ruiz de Apodaca (Lorenzo Mila's wife), Maria Ona from TVE, a few friends from her old days in CNN whom I don't remember the names, I only heard they were the first ones to meet Felipe at a restaurant in June 2003 before their courtship was known. Those women are all good professional journalists, very discreet, never provided any gossip to the press.

I read that Letizia has kept all her old friends, it is Felipe who has distanced himself from the friends he had before his marriage, but I don't know if that is true. I think we rarely see pictures of the SRF in their private time, except when they themselves want to be seen.

I read in other forums that they have a circle of very good friends and they meet each other regularly (even in their house at Zarzuela).
But they seem very discret because nobody know very much about them and also very committed to F&L because they keeps silence.

I think her friends are very private and discreet. And I hope it stays that way. It's good that Letizia and Felipe keep their private lives just that, private. It's their business what they do with their friends, and I doubt their friends would be happy getting exposed to the press and hounded for pictures and interviews.
How about the other princesses, MM, Maxima, or Mathilde? I rarely see them out and about with friends, except MM going out with her A-list friends.

Felipe used to be inseparable with Alvaro Fuster, a childhood friend from school. Now I heard still in contact, but not hang out as much. Fuster is still single, lives a single's lifestyle, unless Felipe still wants to live like a single man, it's impossible for them to be around each other like before. |

Does Cristina de Borbón Dos Sicilias count? She met her before her wedding(six years) and they look like very good friends. She was at the ballet with them the other night, and at the Alejandro Sanz concert too. They've been pictured many times in private activities.
But she is very discreet, not wanting to appear on the press: on the video of Victoria, Elena and Letizia arriving to the ballet, we can see Cristina walking three steps behind them.

That's what I've read as well. Some of them are quite long-standing friends who she travelled to Iraq with during the war. |
