I can't believe that Camilla intends to attend Diana's memorial. I have read on other boards people are planning to pelt her with eggs.
Now I am not saying I agree with this but surely she realises this is NOT a good idea. Her husband is a moron so I don't know why she is listening to him and she could have politely turned down W & H invite. I don't even know why Charles is attending.
What do yo guys think?

I think she should steer clear of this event. Some will say let bygones be bygones but people still love Diana and associate Camilla with Diana being very unhappy. I hope Camilla is sensible enough to know that her presense would be very awkward. Charles wanting her there is just stupidity and callousness on his part to his ex-wife's memory.

What is throwing eggs on her going to do? These people who have the continuing obsession with Diana need to give it a break. She's been dead for nearly 10 years and punishing Camilla for it is not going to bring her back from the grave. Diana died because she was in a car being driven by a drunk and not wearing her seat belt. Camilla, even being the other woman in the marriage, had nothing to do with her death and those who think that humiliating her by throwing eggs will exact some sort of revenge in Diana's name are sorely wrong. An eye for an eye leaves everyone blind. I gather that if William and Harry want her there, she will obey there wishes. If THEY see her presence as not being a problem, then it should be fine with everyone else. I myself find it strange though.

I actually think Camilla doesn't want to go but is being forced by Big Ears. The British public have left these two get on with their so call life but to attend Diana's memorial is asking for old feelings to be dredged up again in the British soul and I feel the public this time might start to realise that the BRF is way out of touch with the British people.
Every gesture this couple make will be scrutinised by the press. If Camilla laughs at an incident, the headlines will be "Camilla laughs at Diana's memorial" or something like that. If Camilla acts all sober and serious, the headlines will be "Why so serious, you lead her to her grave" etc.
She won't win in this.

It is beyond stupid and insistive for even Charles to attend so why is he doing it....very ultra tacky. They had three-in-the-marriage since the wedding. Both Charles & Camila should devolop summer colds and skip this event, if they don't the entire mess will be re-hasshed, and for heavens sake keep Kate out of this also----let her hang-out-in-a-bar waiting for dumb-dumb. Do not attend the memorial. Diana cetainly would not want a bar-hopping-go-go-lack-of-morals -gal to marry her Eldest son. tacky-tacky-tacky. Guesss what I bet Camilla,Charles&Tacky-go-goGirlHopping BarHound Kate will all be praying for Diana

Whether we like it or not, the Brtish public still love Diana even though they have accepted Camilla as Charles wife. One issue is different to the other. Has your boyfriend/husband ever cheated on you? Would you like the subject of your distress turning up at your memorial service? This is how many Brits will view it.

Do you think Diana would roll over in grave if she knew Camilla will be at her memorial? You are right CD, this is a no win situation for Camilla.

I like Camilla very much - but she should stay away. Surely a brief cold or some such as an excuse...

She'd be disappointed in her sons as well. As similar situation occurred in a family I know and years later the stepsons DO NOT invite the so called stepmother to any family events because they can't forget what this lady did to their departed mother.
They are civil to her but don't have much else to do with her.

Imagine if Queen Sofia of Spain passes on and JC brings his current mistress along to the memorial. And this woman is not even known. I'm sure the Spaniards wouldn't be too pleased.

yes, Yes, Yes, I truly think Charles is that stupid and pigheaded. Neither should attend....summer cold is a great reason for not going. Also I think GoGoBar-Hopping Kate should not attned----Diana would be very unhappy that her son was being caught up with Camilla's choice of a bride (once again). tacky-tacky-tacky The games will begin all over again, hate Camilla. Not a good idea.
