I think the problem is that Camilla has always done what Charles wants; probably to the point where she no longer has any judgement. Charles, while being someone I respect on a public policy level, consistently gets it wrong on a personal image level. Of course no-one was responsible for Diana's death except for a drunk driver and her own decision not to wear a seatbelt. But how can Camilla sit there and publicly mourn her or celebrate her life which are the purposes for a memorial ceremony? Her attendance is a huge mistake, whether the boys want it or not. Memorial services should be attended by people who are sorry that the person is dead.

Has your boyfriend/husband ever cheated on you? Would you like the subject of your distress turning up at your memorial service? This is how many Brits will view it.
You asking me?

I didn't want it to seem like a question but more a hypothetical. How would you feel? Be honest.

I don't know why you are aiming this hypothetical question to me. Which seems to be really of a personal nature, btw. All I said was that if Harry and William want her there, then fine. I also remarked that I found it strange though why she would go.

why not? Cowmilla (I don't like her either!) has attended EVERY mile-stone event of Diana's life...so why not this one too...

If she would have attended the funeral that would have been the last thing she ever did, someone would have shot her.

They loved their mother, they love their father, he is happy alot of that has to do with Camilla. As much as they adored Diana I think both boys realize their mother wasn't perfect, that the breakdown of that marriage wasn't just one thing. They were boys when she died, now they are young men, with time comes perspective.

Whilst I agree that after 10 years it's time to move on , I dont believe Camilla should attend the memorial and no excuses about summer colds either, - she should issue a statement saying how she feels it would be totally inappropriate for her to attend. Sucha statement might do wonders for her in the popularity stakes.

The day after Diana died, when it became obvious how big the public reaction was, Camilla hopped onto a plane and rushed off to stay with some friends in Argentina for a week. She and Charles made a point of not being seen together publicly for several months.

I think people just tolerate Camilla. There will always be those people who love Royals regardless of what they have done in the past but I think Diana(as one Reporter said) has become Britans Evita.
